"We revelled in our stay for the last two weeks in July, with a few other musician families - good food/wine, company, ambience, music-making. The huge Chateau was gorgeous - way better than even the photos show: everyone gasped (both on arrival and throughout the stay) at how unbelievable it was to be staying in such palatial splendour. The decor and fittings were opulently tasteful in every single room - there was space to have peace and quiet even amongst so many people. The grounds with a stream and lavoir and gardens were tranquil. The outdoor pool was refreshing and glorious for swimming whenever the mood took us - the kids had lots of fun in it! There are games rooms - pool, table tennis, table-football and every imaginable board game, and a library and music room! We enjoyed culinary local delights on the outdoor terrace with BBQ and the enormous cheffy kitchen which is to die for - the owners are former restaurateurs. The owners can arrange (for purchase) a fantastic selection of local wines including not well-known gems which they can source for you - some might find them a bit pricey but that is because of the quality - but they are just as happy if you supply your own - it's not forced on you. The owners, Jackie and Jennifer, live discreetly in the grounds in the coachhouse and are very warm and welcoming hosts and can make breakfast arrangements for bread or other local delicacies (they are also fantastic cooks and jolly good company if invited!) and were only too pleased to help out any with any problems they helped - far beyond the call in our case because we had a few challenges along the way with a car accident and things!) We happened to spend a good time with them and made good friends. It was the best holiday ever. No-one wanted to leave! I'd ordinarily say a once-in-a-lifetime holiday, But we would love to, and hopefully will come back again." - Hickey - August 2019
10/10 - The house is so well equipped, the owners have thought of everything. The space worked for our whole group. We didn't leave the Chateau apart from going to the local market. - Newstead - August 2019
"Fabulous holiday at Chateau La Chuteliere. The property works well for large groups; rooms in the chateau and space on the terrace for everyone to dine and socialise together and wonderful grounds to explore to enjoy privacy, peace and quiet. The pool is a delight! The chateau is well equipped and all the rooms are unique. Hypermarkets and local markets are a 15 minutes drive." - Flowers - August 2019
10/10 - Ticks all the boxes for a special week away. - Oatley - August 2018
"We had a wonderful week at Chateau La Chutelière with two other families in August. The Chateau is more impressive in reality than the pictures do it justice and we were all in awe of the size, space and history of the Chateau. It really does exceed your expectations.
There was something for everyone from the large impressive kitchen to the swimming pool area with outside BBQ, various games areas and huge cinema room, and then the grounds with canal and river running through. We literally didn't see the children apart from meal times!!
We were able to totally relax knowing the children were safe and with so many things to entertain them. We would recommend Chateau La Chutelière as a unique place to relax and enjoy time together." - Wylie - August 2018
"We just want to say how brilliant our stay has been. It is a very beautiful and welcoming place to be. The beds are super comfy. The pool is just amazing and everything else is a pleasure to be surrounded by. Thank you very much." - August 2018
